Hi, I’m Pooja

My work is guided by a childhood spent outdoors and a deep devotion to the natural world.

My recent body of work has been heavily influenced by my life of growing up between two very contrasting worlds, from a childhood in Mumbai to my years as an emerging adult spent building a home in Toronto. Through painting I've been able to explore and navigate themes of departure, rebirth and grounding by returning to the landscapes that have stayed with me.

My artistic process follows the rhythm of the seasons, unfolding slowly and intuitively. I believe we are more deeply connected to the natural world than we often allow ourselves to recognise.

Sunlight has always been the thread that runs through my work. I think of it as the beginning, the end and everything in between.

Through my paintings, I hope to create gentle moments of connection between the rhythms of everyday life and the landscapes that quietly shape us, inviting space for reflection, presence and wonder.

I currently live and work between Vero Beach and Brooklyn, where you'll usually find me swimming in the ocean or walking through the city with my headphones turned all the way up.

Thank you so much for being here. I hope you find something that stays with you long after you've left.

♡ Pooja
