I wanted to create a shirt that feels like it has an electric current through it, but not the kind of electric current you would associate with a billboard, something that could be a feat of nature. I chose my beloved hibiscus motif and aquatic blue color palette to convey the electric visual I had in mind effectively. I started out by creating a net of white line work in the intended patterns and then slowly layered a gradient of blue on the net. I specifically chose a button-up as my canvas as I wanted the electric net to not only be splayed on the wearer's chest but also exist at either side of it, as if the wearer's chest is an open window in a house covered by ivy.

Black cotton button-up that has been carefully hand-painted using high-quality leather paint and sealed in with heat. The shirt is 100% machine washable, can be washed using a delicate cycle thousands of times, paint is designed to last, and the product has been tested for longevity. As this is a one-of-a-kind hand-painted piece that is not mass-produced, it is prone to mild inconsistencies

Measurements of the shirt are as follows:

Pit to pit: 21”

Shoulder: 16.5”

Collar to hemline: 24”

The model is 5'6 in height and usually wears a size small; all measurements are taken with the garment laid flat.

What is a giclée print?

A giclée, pronounced (zhee-clay) print is a high-quality, fine art reproduction created using specialized, high-resolution inkjet printers, archival pigment-based inks, and high-grade archival paper or canvas. Pronounced "to spray" in French, this process produces superior color accuracy, detail, and longevity, lasting over 100 years without fading, making them ideal for art galleries and collectors.

All Giclée prints are produced locally by a South Florida printer. Each print is made to order to minimize waste and ensure quality control. Prints are created on 310 gsm archival fine art paper and signed by hand.
